Technical Breakdown

Basic Workflow

  • Use CameraTracker to track a background shot.

  • Analyze Camera tracker points cloud.

  • Place a cube into the background scene to measure the 2D space volume.

  • Export the cube & camera and then import them into Maya, place 3D CG assets into the cube at the appropriate angle.

  • Simulate Lighting.

  • Render CG assets in different layers (difusse| ambient occlusion |shadow).

  • Merge CG layers & background in Nuke.
