Technical Breakdown
Basic Workflow

Use CameraTracker to track a background shot.

Analyze Camera tracker points cloud.

Place a cube into the background scene to measure the 2D space volume.

Export the cube & camera and then import them into Maya, place 3D CG assets into the cube at the appropriate angle.

Simulate Lighting.
-
Render CG assets in different layers (difusse| ambient occlusion |shadow).
-
Merge CG layers & background in Nuke.
